Well we went to the doctor yesterday. Dr. Randall told us that he believed that the spot on Bud's nose was an allergic reaction to the degreaser. He called is a severe case of contact dermatitus caused by a caustic chemical. He prescribed him with two weeks of prednisone (steriods) beginning with 5 a day for 3 days, then 4 for 3, so forth. He also gave him a cortizone cream to apply twice a day. Told him to keep his hands off of his nose, and don't touch unless appling the medicine. He told us to come back in two weeks. If there is a noticable difference, (new skin growth) then we should be ok. He measured it to be 2cm x 2cm. Hopefully it will have shrunk by then. If not, he will take a biopsy and then send it off for more information. And we will go from there to a plastic surgeon to remove all of the bad tissue and have his nose grafted with a piece of hip skin.
Yall please pray for him. He told the doctor that if his nose healed up, he was gonna quit smoking, (doctor gave his a script for Chantix). I'm gonna hold him to it. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Love ya, Toot

Say A Prayer for Bud!
Yall please say a prayer for Bud. I am taking him to the doctor tomorrow afternoon. That spot on his nose is not getting any better, and I'm really scared. They will probably do a biopsy of the spot, let's pray that it will only be fungal, bacterial, or viral, and not that nasty "C" word. I know we shouldn't have waited so long, but we haven't had the money, the doctor is gonna work with us. Dr. Gary Randall from Lufkin is who we are going to. GOD can cure all, and I'm putting Robert in his hands. Let's pray for a good report.

It was a close one!
Well the Colmesneil Lady Dogs Basketball team played a really hard game last night. We played against the Big Sandy Indians. The Indians played so rough, throwing elbows, Kaylee got hit in the mouth 3 times (made me so mad that the officials didn't call a foul!) Even though they played with all of their hearts, we lost by 3 in the last 49 seconds of the game. Kaylee scored 6 points (not her usual 10) but she's been sick so you've got to give her a break. She went to the doctor today, and he said she had a really bad sinus infection. Started her on Augmentin and Sudafed (OTC). Hopefully she will be feeeling better soon. She still looks pale but she'll be better soon.
The weather frightful today. It has been raining, sleeting, freezing..burrrrrrr....I can't wait to get home from work and sit next to the fire. I'm gonna make oatmeal, bacon, and toast for supper..a warm comforting meal. That's about all I'm gonna do today. I just want to curl up on the couch and watch a good movie.

Christmas is Coming
This weekend my son Bryan and I went and did some Christmas shopping. I bought several things for my family. I still need to wrap gifts. I've got a few under the tree. I got home from work yesterday, and Robert had put up the Christmas lights outside, they looked really nice. I cooked a good dinner and did some cleaning. Kaylee is still not feeling well. She can't get rid of the headache, but she went to school today. She has a game tonight, and she's determined to play. She's got to get well, she has that big trip coming up the day after Christmas. We are still trying to raise money for her. We've raised about $300.00, she needs around $800. She's getting really excited. I'm getting really nervous. I can't believe I'm letting my baby fly over the Atlantic Ocean to a foreign country to march in a parade. (Am I crazy?) I can't deny her this once in a lifetime opportunity. I know GOD will keep her safe. At least she has a family member going with her, along with another young lady from Colmesneil and her parents. Well I've got to get back to work....MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!
